Well Care Launches Work Program at Southern Nevada Clinic
LAS VEGAS COMPANY HEALTHCARE COMPANY LAUNCHES NEW WORK PROGRAM
LAS VEGAS, NV - (January 7th, 2018) –The Well Care Group’s Las Vegas location announces the pilot of a work program for their residents.
The new work program called “Smart Start” allows residents of the Well Care Group’s Las Vegas housing program to gain essential job skills to help them reacclimate back into society. After completion of the course, residents are given a certification of completion and help with job placement. Ten of the residents graduated from the program on January 4th, 2019. Five of the graduates have already gained employment and the other five graduates have secured job interviews. Here are some photos of the recent graduates at the graduation ceremony.
Well Care Gives Back
Our team was able to host a Christmas celebration for it’s residents at New Hope Motel. The holidays can be a difficult time of the year for many people who are in recovery and away from their family members.
The amazing staff hosted a dinner celebration for 200 people and every resident received gifts. We would like to thank all our staff members for working so hard to make our residents feel special not only during the holidays but every day of the year.

World Mental Health Day
Las Vegas, NV - (September 5th, 2017) – The Well Care Group is proud to offer FREE depression screenings every Friday in the month of September from 1p-3p at the Las Vegas Clinic in observance of Suicide Prevention Month. Suicide is the 6th leading cause of death for Nevadans. Males make up 80% of suicide deaths at an average rate of 33.3 per 100,000. Nevada seniors over 60 have the highest suicide rate in the nation, over double the national average for the same age group (Source: Department of Health and Human Services).

Bringing healthcare clinic to underserved
In 2015, The Well Care Group piloted a program, aimed at reducing the number of readmissions among the underserved population in the Southern Nevada city. The program was so successful it was implemented at 90 percent of hospitals in Las Vegas.
"It has done so well in Las Vegas there was no reason it could not impact the population in Northern Nevada," said Max Casal, who is CFO as well as managing director of the Northern Nevada division of Well Care.
